Umno sacks Muhyiddin, Mukhriz

KUALA LUMPUR - Umno today sacked its former deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah mentri besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir for breaching party regulations due to their involvement with the opposition.

Former vice-president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, on the other hand, has been suspended.

The announcement was made by Umno president and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at the party’s headquarters here.
