Eleven members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) on Monday surrendered to the military in Sumisip, Basilan.
Col. Thomas Cirilo Donato, commander of 104th Sultan Brigade, said the bandits surrendered in Barangay Buli-Buli.
The bandits who surrendered were Moton Indama, Haimin Jalil, Marham Musana, Sadjara Hadjarama, Tari Murasimin, Halid Murasimin, Gulam Hajim, Haraward Sahirulla, Basri Laisun, Hasim Baliyung and Ring Langka.
The bandits also surrendered assorted high-powered firearms.
Donato said the surrendered bandits will be referred to Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Gov. Mujiv Hataman for “for rehabilitation and integration into the mainstream of our society.” —report from Peewee Bacuño/ALG, GMA News
