KOTA KINABALU - The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) is answerable only to the people of Sabah, said party president Datuk Yong Teck Lee.
“We were here five years ago and we are still here, bringing the same slogan and still helping Sabahans get what they deserve from the government,” he said during his campaign at the Foh Sang commercial centre here on Saturday (April 29).
Yong said that one of the issues the SAPP has long been raising includes the Malaysia Agreement 1963 which has been recently "taken up" by other parties.
He added that as an autonomous party within the Gabungan Sabah (GS) coalition, SAPP does not have to answer to parties from Peninsula Malaysia.
He said if the GS comes into power after GE14, they would be able to better manage Sabah’s rich resources and translate that into better development and welfare for the people.
