Stop the misleading accusations against SAPP

KOTA KINABALU - Star Sabah Deputy Chairman, Daniel John Jambun is totally ignorant of Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) sincerity of in cooperating with all opposition parties to topple Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming General Election.

SAPP Deputy President Datuk Eric Majimbun also questioned Jambun's accusation that SAPP was only fighting to get a better deal with the BN.

"It is a figment of his imagination that SAPP is going back to BN," he said.

"Why must we lose all our privileges by leaving the BN? It has been almost four years," he said in a Press conference here Friday.

Majimbun said Jambun's statement truly showed his standing to blow his own trumpet of themselves to make use of Star from Sarawak as the stepping stone to gain control of Sabah's politic once the BN symbol is voted out.

He also expressed disappointment with the letter from Star Sabah signed by Jambun addressed to SAPP President Datuk Yong Teck Lee where he even asked whether SAPP is in or out of the UBA.

He said SAPP had never signed any "form" (if there is any) to join the United Borneo Alliance (UBA) but that SAPP acknowledged and support the Borneo Agenda propagated by UBA before this because it is the same with the party's Eight Core Values.

"It is not that SAPP doesn't want to work with Star, in fact we have been cooperating with Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) to work out a strategy to defeat the BN in the coming election.

"But if Jambun's statement is really the word of Star Sabah chairman then it is most unfortunate," he said.

Also on hand were Deputy President Datuk Liew Teck Chan, Treasurer General Dullie Marie, Information Chief, Chong Pit Fah, Wanita Chief, YB Melanie Chia Assistance Information Chief Bahari Aship, Assistance Organising Secretary Stephen Gaimin and supreme council members, Peter Marajin.

    2. 1 on 1, I don't think so. It is likely to be 3 against 1 after all.

    3. Star nak tanding 60 kerusi, SAPP pula 4o kerusi. jika begini formula 1 lwn 1 takkan tercapai.

    1. Look how the oppositions behave. Can we trust them to govern our state? Even though they will be able to cooperate during this GE, but watch out after the election (IF they win), they gonna fight among each other!

    2. Not for UBA. That is not our culture.

For BN & PR this is possible.

  3. BN will win, hands down this coming GE13 in Sabah. Why I say this? Cos, Sabah has no credible oppositions and they disallow semenanjong platforms(opposition)to assist. Questions are on STAR motives, are they a bunch of self-center, arrogant, selfish wannabes, no doubt, everyone of them wants to be candidate. How many voters in Sabah do know about STAR, more will know about SAPP, PKR, PAS or DAP. STAR just do not know how to win election.

    2. Look at GE 2008 elections, there was no STAR or SAPP stopping PR from contesting as the sole opposition party.

What result did PR get ? Only 1 seat won.

      PR has failed miserably.

It's time to support our independent local party.

    3. Just take a look at Batu Sapi By-Election. PR wanted to go 1 on 1 with BN, but SAPP refused to give way. What happened in the end? Neither PR nor SAPP is able to gain enough votes.

Also some people say that RCI will be called soon and Musa is the best ever Sabah CEO but Sabah remained poorest and RCI has not even been announced with many excuses given.

What is happening ? Can we still trust BN leaders with our future ?

    Sdra/sdri sekalian...
