Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said the investigations were focused on identifying anyone involved in such activities, adding that these people were traitors to the country.
"This is a serious matter as it involved the sovereignty of the country. But hold on till we have concluded our investigations... then we will expose these people," he said.
Ismail was speaking after being briefed on the C4I communications system which was developed by Systems Consultancy Services (SCS) Sdn Bhd which the police force is evaluating for use, at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre where the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition is taking place.
On the ongoing Ops Daulat, Ismail said several "important assets" had been put in place to assist in security in Lahad Datu and the Eastern Sabah Safety Zone (Esszone).
Ismail also said the force had received extra allocation from the government for the setting up of Esszone, adding that this would be used for essentials such as logistics.
