KOTA KINABALU - The election fever has reached Sabah’s interior, and the local issues on land and its transformation proposed by Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has received great response from the people and thus this boosts the winning chances of SAPP’s candidates.
In Kundasang (N.29) State seat, there will be a 6-corner fight, apart from BN, other opposition parties involved in the contest are SAPP, STAR, PKR and 2 independent candidates.
Feed backs from the local voters are that SAPP's candidates stands a better chance because of SAPP’s promise to rectify the NCR issue and also land transformation whilst the BN government has neglected these issues. The local produce market and its surrounding road has not been properly handled and managed by the local council and it always causes traffic congection.
In the Melalap (N35), there is a 4 corner fights, BN’s Radin Malleh is facing SAPP’s Roger Stimin who is a lawyer, DAP’s Norita and STAR’s Kong Fui Seng. And SAPP’s Roger Stimin, also another lawyer, will be BN’s main threat.
The local people have pointed they welcome SAPP’s Service Center which has been there to service the local people and also help to highlight the land grabbing issuses which the BN representatives choose to ignore. This time it will be more difficult for BN candidates to defend the seat due to their own infighting.
