GE13: Sabah PKR's Youth Chief resigned citing unfair treatement

KOTA KINABALU: A PKR’s National Supreme Council member Jeffrey Jomion has resigned from the party to join the Sabah chapter of the State Reform Party (STAR) on Thursday.

The Sarawak-based Star has two chapters Sarawak and Sabah. The Sabah chapter is led by Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

When asked why he left the party, the former Sabah PKR Youth chief said he could not agree with how the party was being run, especially in the way it treated its youth members.

“I have worked hard for the party but, as the PKR candidate list shows, only one person from the PKR youth chapter has been nominated.”

“The party also talked about fielding 30% of new faces for GE13 but this hasn’t happened,” he said.

He announced his resignation from PKR and alliance with Star after the party announced its manifesto for the coming GE13.
