'Jamalul Kiram III to face arrest in the Philippines'

Self-professed Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III may be facing arrest in the Philippines for instructing an incursion against Malaysia that saw 10 members of the Malaysian security forces and over 60 of the intruders killed.

According to Utusan Malaysia, Jamalul may face three charges in the Philippines, namely for waging war against a foreign country, illegal possession of weapons and bearing arms during a banned period.

Quoting unnamed sources, the Malay-language daily reported that the Filipino National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) had recently submitted its report to the country's Department of Justice.

"In the report, was attached recommendations to arrest and charge the terrorist head with 38 of his followers...," it said.

Furthermore, the daily noted that Jamalul's (left) brother, Agbimuddin Kiram - who led the incursion into Lahad Datu, Sabah - is also being tracked down by the Filipino authorities.

Meanwhile, Filipino media Interaksyon has reported that Jamalul - in a press conference yesterday - accused the Filipino government of planning to extradite him to Malaysia to face charges there.

"Please help your own... do not abandon us. Don't turn us over to Malaysia," he was quoted as saying.

In response to this, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that the Filipino palace has dismissed the extradition as "just a claim".

"Let's wait for an official statement from us. I don't want to dignify any statement coming from the Kirams," presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda was quoted as saying.

However, he made no mention that the Kirams and their followers would be charged locally in the Philippines.

  1. THIS IS REALLY PATHETIC! UMNO WAS THE INSTIGATOR OF THE SULU INVASION BY PROMISING THE SULUKS LAND

The UMNO regime conspired with, trained and financed Filipino insurgent groups as proxies to de-stabilise the Southern Philippines from 1970s to the 1990s to counter its Sabah claim and the Philippines government kept quiet about this.

If the Philppines government wants to prosecute the Sulu sultan for invading Sabah, they should also prosecute the whole UMNO gang for the above mentioned conspiracy and also they should take back all their citizens smuggled into Sabah by that Malayan colonial criminal called Mahathir since 1994 and before!

The alternative is to sent all illegals to Malaya!

UMNO Malaya will not want to extradite the sultan to Kuala Lumpur for trial as he will expose the UMNO crooks as being behind all the invasion sandiwara as Nur Misuari has done.

Najib had assured his blood brothers that they would be given land if they came to Sabah and vote for his dirty party.

All the dirt will come out and make the RCI look like a picnic.

So Filipino friends why not demand your government to extradite Najib and Mahathir for using your people to invade Sabah?

  3. The Lahad Datu tragedy served as a reminder for Malaysia and the Philippines to work closely with each other, said Philippine ambassador to Malaysia J. Eduardo Malaya today.

He said the Sabah intrusion did not bring any negative impact to bilateral ties between the two countries or affect the Mindanao peace process.
