Muslims in Malaysia will begin the Ramadan fast on Wednesday.
The Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Datuk Seri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, in making the announcement, said the date for the beginning of the fast for states in the whole of Malaysia was set for Wednesday on the order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong following the consent of the Malay Rulers.
The announcement was carried live on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) this evening.
The Conference of Rulers had agreed that the method of determining the first day of the Ramadan fasting month be based on the ‘Rukyah’ and ‘Hisab’.
UMNO ABOLISH TRADITIONAL CHRISTIAN HOLIDAYS TO PROVOKE CHRISTIANS WHO USED TO OWN SABAH
ReplyDeleteHAPPY RAMADAN MUSLIM BROTHERS & SISTERS ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS!
WHILE YOU CELEBRATE PLEASE THINK ABOUT HOW NEXT YEAR SABAH CHRISTIANS WILL NOT BE HAVING OFFICIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS FOR THEIR HOLY DAYS- IN PLACE FOR OVER 100 YEARS.
These are implied constitutional rights which have been so easily wiped out.
"The High Court ruled yesterday that the Sabah Government’s decision to abolish Easter Monday, Holy Saturday and Boxing Day as public holidays 34 years ago was in accordance with the State Constitution".
This is the first price Sabahans are paying for again keeping the arrogant stooges of the Malayan Colonialists and imperialists in power.
More punitive measures are yet to come- may be Christmas and Pesta Kaamatan, Chinese New Year...
This is clearly unconstitutional as the 20 Points Agreement says:
"Point 16: Constitutional safeguards (The relevant part) says:
The power of amending the Constitution of the State of North Borneo should belong exclusively to the people in the state.[8][9] (Note: The United Party, The Democratic Party and the Pasok Momogun Party considered that a three-fourth majority would be required in order to effect any amendment to the Federal and State Constitutions whereas the UNKO and USNO considered a two-thirds majority would be sufficient.)"
'Point 1: Religion
While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North Borneo.'
The constitution was changed illegally to make Islam Sabah's state religion (as in Sarawak) and not one said anything.
But Point 16 say "the people" not the Sabah parliament have the power to decide the above type of issues. This infers a "referendum".
So how can a bunch of useless shitheads in parliament just go and abolish our Christian holidays.
What right have they to do this? Sabah was a majority Christian country until Malaya took over in 1963 and did its racial re-engineering with imported Muslims.
Unfortunately being the majority is no use if you have not even the guts to defend your rights.
First it was Malaya takeover of Sabah in 1963 followed by race/social engineering and now they are so brazen they abolished your holidays.
Are they trying to provoke the people to take up arms to overthrow UMNO rule?
In that case real Sabahans must seriously consider this option!
On 16 September 2013 we must all wear BLACK ARM BANDS and fly the colonial flag upside down and at half mast!
