Sabah police shot dead man, wounded another during Ops Cantas

KOTA KINABALU - Police officers shot dead a man and wounded another during the on going Ops Cantas here.

According to a source, the two men were shot while trying to escape in their car when asked to stop for police investigations in a village in Kinabatangan about 350km from Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday evening.

The men believed drug pushers for the area were said to have tried to ram into police officers there when they were asked to pull over.

Policemen were believed to have opened fire in defense.

Meanwhile, Sabah Police Commissioner confirmed the incident but declined to give further details as they were still investigating the case.

  2. The Malayan Wild West has come indeed in the form of gangsters/dubious characters. Look around, there are growing numbers of Malayan chinese especially from Johor going around acting as if they are Lords with their "Kurang Ajar" attitude here..some in Penampang. Suspect they are low life gangsters escaping the police heat in Malaya. With their low life attitude with little respect for the locals in Penampang, i foresee they will meet their end here soon. So wikisabah, spread the news & hopefully the admin of this site can do some investigative journalism.
