Sarawak practises autonomy: 3 PKR leaders barred from entering

KUCHING -Three Parti Keadilan Rakyat leaders were barred from entering the state in Sibu and deported back to Kuala Lumpur today.

The party secretary general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution was  first to be deported when he arrived in the morning followed  by party strategist Rafizi Ramli and vice president Tian Chua  in the afternoon.

State PKR chief Baru Bian confirmed the three were  stopped by Immigration department officers at the airport  following orders from the Chief Minister's  department.

Rafizi and Tian Chua had arrived on the same flight with  de-facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who was not  stopped.

"The state government issued the order in accordance with  the Immigration Act," a spokesman with the Chief Minister's  department said.

Last week Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem had said  the government will not hesitate to stop racists and religious  bigots from entering Sarawak to preserve harmony in the  state.
