Hadi accuses PKR of stealing assemblymen

BATU PAHAT - An angry Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang today accused PKR of buying over the two rogue Selangor PAS assemblymen who supported Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s bid for the state mentri besar’s post, even labelling them “barua” (lackeys).

The PAS president questioned why Saari Sungib and Hasnol Baharuddin had signed statutory declarations in support of the PKR president when the PAS duo’s loyalty should be for the party above all else.

“They stole our assemblymen. They bought them over.

“We cannot take the situation lightly, they (Hasnol and Saari) have become brokers, they have become lackeys (barua),” Hadi said during his closing speech at the PAS annual muktamar here.

I could not follow PKR, DAP in Selangor MB issue, says Hadi

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said he could not just stand by and follow the conduct of its partners in Pakatan Rakyat during the Selangor Menteri Besar crisis.

He said instead, the party had its own principles and beliefs that determined how it dealt with the Selangor Sultan that differed from PKR and DAP.

Although he did not explicitly refer to it, Hadi is believed to be talking about how he sent more than one name to the Selangor Sultan intead of one name as done by PKR and DAP.

His decision strained relations between PAS and its partners as well as between him and his central committee.
