An Australian P-3 Orion reconnaissance aircraft has sighted an “object” in the waters off mid-Kalimantan during the search for the missing Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ8501.
Indonesian news portal Detik News reported that it has yet to be confirmed if the object is debris from the plane.
Australia, Singapore and Malaysia are assisting Indonesia in the search for the Airbus A320 plane carrying 162 people on board that vanished early yesterday morning.
