Incomplete 1MDB fact sheet given to ministers, says Muhyiddin

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who many believe was sacked from government for his vocal views on troubled 1Malaysia Development Fund (1MDB), today said he knew "a bit more" about the state investment vehicle than the average Malaysian.

He said cabinet members were given a fact sheet of the firm which had to date chalked up RM42 billion in debt, but it was not comprehensive enough.

"We got quite a simple fact sheet. It was not comprehensive enough. It has information but it was not enough because this issue needs more than a fact sheet.

"That is why I need more information from various quarters as well as feedback to help me understand it and try to help resolve it.

"What I know is from some sources and a few referral materials... what you know about 1MDB, I maybe know a bit more than that," he told a packed news conference at his residence today.

But Muhyiddin did not elaborate on what he knew more about 1MDB.
