Street stripping Ex-Model released on 'good behaviour' bond

KUALA LUMPUR - A Sabah-born television host and part-time model linked to a viral video of her stripping at Petaling Street last year, was let off on a two-year RM4,000 good behaviour bond for behaving indecently in public.

Persana Avril Sollunda, or popularly known as Shanna Avril in Pesona Nona and Dewi Remaja, was handed the sentence by the magistrate's court when she changed her plea to guilty today over the incident that took place April 23 last year.

Previously on April 28 last year, Persana, 32, claimed trial to the offence linked to the video that showed her shouting at a stall vendor before removing her blouse at a food stall at the famed tourist hotspot.

Today, magistrate Nur A'minahtul Mardiah Md Nor ordered Persana, who is a Kota Kinabalu resident, ordered the accused to report to the nearest police station once a month, where she has to undergo mandatory urine tests for drugs, among others.

Nur A'minahtul warned the blonde-dyed Persana, who was clad in grey jacket and military-striped undershirt, that she would be hit with a possible sentence of jail time up to three months, fine or both if she violated conditions of the good behaviour bond.

Prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Nabilah Ahmad Poad while counsel Kelvin Tan acted for Persana.
