Jamal Md Yunos barred from entering Sarawak

KUCHING - Malaysian NGOs Coalition chairman Datuk Jamal Md Yunos has been barred from entering Sarawak today.

Jamal, who is also the Sungai Besar Umno chief, was escorted by officers from the state Immigration department upon his arrival at the Kuching International Airport here at 11.30am.

It was learnt that Jamal returned to Kuala Lumpur on the same day via a 2.35pm flight.

He is expected to give a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at about 4pm.

Last week, Dap Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching and another Dap member Ooi Leng Han were barred from entering Sarawak

Apart from that, several opposition leaders had been barred from entering the state including PKR vice-presidents Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua, PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin, PKR elections director Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, PKR's Subang MP R Sivarasa, DAP's Seputeh MP Teresa Kok and Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu as well as controversial lecturer and columnist Prof Dr Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah and Perkasa Chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali.
