RM50 diesel refill limits shock motorists.

KOTA KINABALU - Motorists shocked when petrol stations only allowed them to refill diesel worth not more than RM50 per one stop.

Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Information Chief Chong Pit Fah said such new directive caused much unconveniences to motorists and also curiosity to the people especially when election is around the corner.

"Sabah is an oil producing state and such directive is seems to be very suspicious.

"We wonder where all of our oils have gone. Is it being sold out overseas to fund Barisan Nasional campaign for the 13th general election? he asked.

He added that it surely does not make sense at all when petrol stations at an oil producing state limits the sale of diesel.

He said the Barisan Nasional Government ought to explain the people the reasons behind the diesel sale limits.

Pit Fah went on saying that the government must be transparent on the matter.

He said the directive would surely affect transportation companies ferrying goods to the interiors, express bus companies, taxis as well as individuals who occasionally travels long distances.

"I received many complaints on the matter and found out that it was true when I myself refill diesel at petrol station near my Kepayan office," he said.

Pit Fah said petrol stations would not dare limiting the sale of diesel to motorists without directive from the government.

He said petrol stations feared that their licences might be revoked if they ignore such directive.

He added that limiting the sale of diesel might also forced goods' distributors to hike prices of goods due to difficulty of getting refill so as to send goods outstations.

He advised the government to retract the directive as it only cause problems to motorists and the people.

He said the directive to limits the sale of diesel would surely backfire the ruling Barisan Nasional Government in the coming election.

Pit Fah said SAPP would press the government to overturn the directive so that the people would not be burdened with useless directive.
