Sabah Pakatan leader linked to Tanduo intrusion

Zahid bombshell links 2 KL opposition leaders as well

KOTA KINABALU: The Defence Ministry has identified three opposition leaders in connection with the Feb 12 incursion of Sulu gunmen in Sabah.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Zahid Hamidi said in Alor Setar on Friday the ministry had enough evidence that link the three – one from Sabah and two from Peninsular Malaysia – to the incident.

He said the evidence would be submitted to the Attorney General office for further action after the general election.

On Thursday, Zahid (picture) had dropped another bombshell when he confirmed press reports that 35 Sulu terrorists were shot dead by the Philippine Navy in Sibutu Island, last Saturday.

Based on intelligence investigation and information, the terrorist group had intended to enter Sabah, and create chaos in the run-up to GE13, he told reporters after a gathering with armed forces personnel.

Zahid also thanked the Philippine Armed Forces, particularly the Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard which had given close cooperation to the Malaysian government, particularly the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

The Utusan Malaysia daily Thursday reported that the Philippine security forces shot dead 35 members of the Kiram terrorists, led by its senior leader Kalling Amirul, in a fierce battle at Sibutu Island, the Philippines last Saturday, while the group was planning a strategy to encroach and attack the Sabah east coast to obstruct the GE13 process.

In the clash, two members of the Philippine security forces were killed, and the Philippine security forces had also seized more than 20 M16 and Garand rifles.

Ahmad Zahid also gave an assurance on the security of voters throughout Malaysia, particularly those located in Sabah and that they could discharge their voting rights safely on May 5.

However, both the Armed Forces of the Philippines as well as the Philippine Navy denied the report.

“Nothing, it is very peaceful here (Tawi-Tawi),” Captain Renato Yonke of Navy Task Force 62 in Tawi-Tawi told reporters in a phone interview.

  1. IS THE PHILIPPINES NOW RESPONSIBLE FOR SABAH's SECURITY?

How sad not more than 3 months ago BN-UMNO was welcoming the Suluks as brothers and now they just shoot them.

Even worse, BN-UMNO claims credit for the bloodshed which was due to its failure in preventing the Sulu invasion.

Everything is peaceful thanks to Bn-UMNO.

Was it all just a sandiwara designed to show that Bn-UMNO was capable to defend Sabah being well timed for the elections?

BN-UMNO may believe it can protect Sabah but the Sabah people do not.

  2. Sabahans are so stupid to believe in the Malayan agenda that they can change for you...why not you make the terms and change the terms...Are we not partners in Malaysia??

    1. WHAT PARTNERS? NOT FROM DAY 1!

DO YOU KNOW WHY BRUNEI DID NOT AGREE TO BECOME PART OF MALAYSIA?

      1. UMNO Malaya refused to give Brunei "equal partnership" status (UMNO refused to accord the Sultan the same rank with all other Malayan sultans. This was an insult because the Sultanate of Brunei existed 400 years before Malaya was federated in 1957. The Brunei sultanate was bigger than "Malaysia").

      2. Brunei rejected UMNO's demanded 100% control of Brunei oil. Which smart person would give away their gold mine for nothing except an empty promise of "security & prosperity"?

Our "leaders" were extremely naive and failed to be assertive like the Brunei Sultan. We had all the bargaining power but the British Malayans made it an unlevelled playing field. It was the Cold War period and the British Malayans used the foreign invasion and red scare bogeyman to convinced their handpicked conservative local "reps" (not even elected) to negotiate the formation of Malaysia. We were "dudded" (conned or cheated) as they say.

      3. Singapore left Malaysia in 1965 for the same reason- UMNO refused to give Singapore equal partnership status- ask LKY!

      4. That left Sabah and Sarawak whose “leaders” did not insist strongly on their rights and also these 2 countries were betrayed by leaders like Rahman Yakub, Taib Mahmud and Tun Mustapha for their group and personal advantage.

We were forcibly subjugated to Malaya not as partners or even “states” but as colonies.

The original Malaysia concept of 5 countries as equal partners was dead from 1963 and even more dead by 1965.

Why is it that Sabah and Sarawak were unable to break away? By that time the Malayans got their clutches on us and they had their army in Borneo backed by the British to fight the armed resistance against Malaysia. This was the anti-Malaysia Brunei Uprising and guerrilla which continued in Sarawak from 1962 to 1990

This war was portrayed as threat to our freedom and coerced our "leaders" into feeling threatened by the patriotic independence war.

It was a big lie by Najib to say that the people of Sabah and Sarawak “chose” Malaysia.

Our patriots fought against the imposition of Malaysia!

      Lest we forget!
