GE13: Yong’s challenge a response to DAP’s flyers, speeches

KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee’s open challenge to DAP leaders Dr. Hiew King Cheu and Jimmy Wong Sze Phin, was a direct response to a flyer which dedicated one full page attacking SAPP and Datuk Yong, said SAPP Luyang Chief  Melanie Chia Chui Ket.

Chia said that the flyer was distributed at DAP’s copycat ceramah at Foh Sang next to SAPP’s Kopitiam Political Talk.

“It is only proper that Yong chose the same location for a SAPP – DAP debate.

“DAP leaders in Malaya are very fond of debates but none of the Sabah leaders including Jimmy Wong and Dr. Hiew dare to face the rakyat in any debate. Even the forum on Hudud Law last year saw DAP chickening out.

“SAPP plans a mighty ceramah or forum from April 20th to May 4th. SAPP has an open invitation to both BN and DAP to a debate on the BN Manifesto, DAP Manifesto and SAPP Manifesto. For the Sabah people to choose it is necessary that party manifestos and its leaders standup to scrutiny,” said Chia.

“If none of the DAP or BN Sabah leaders dare to debate SAPP, they can beg their KL masters to come and help them.

  1. IT IS ODD THAT SAPP WOULD STILL ENTERTAIN ANY SWEET OFFERS FROM PAKATAN WHEN IT IS CHALLENGED BY ITS COMPONENT PARTIES LIKE DAP ETC.

How can SAPP talk about "autonomy" and is ready to give up Federal seats which like state seats are bargaining chips?

Both STAR and SAPP in order to save Sabah must win both Federal and State seats and then they can be the king maker and lay down their terms and conditions to review the Malaysia Agreement.

The Malaysia Agreement must be reviewed against the 20 Points Agreement in context of Sabah's loss of control of its finances and resources not to mention the loss of control over immigration resulting in the illegal inflow allowed by Malaya.

We must seek redress on all counts IF Sabah or Sarawak still wish to continue as parts of Malaya.

The review must be thorough as an educative process fort the people. This must be in conjunction with a Sabah Sarawak referendum for the people on the question whether they elect to stay in Malaysia or regain their independence.

This is the primary issue facing both countries in Malaysia. The land rights and autonomy issues arise from the loss of control of our affairs.

This is from a blog in Borneo Herald:
"WHY SHOULD SABAHANS & SARAWAKIANS HAVE TO TAKE ORDERS FROM MALAYA WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE EQUAL PARTNERS?

Young Sabahans or Sarawakians may not have been taught the full facts about how their countries were turned into colonies of Malaya under the pretext of forming Malaysia.

In 1963 the Brunei Sultanate refused to make Brunei part of Malaysia because UMNO refused to give it equal partner status.

In 1965 Singapore left Malaysia because UMNO did not give it equal partnership status.

However Sabah Sarawak were kept chained to Malaya as its economic resource bank to fund Malayan development and UMNO patronage system for 50 years breaking promises of "development" for Sabah Sarawak.

The main sections of all non-"Malays" missed out in the "development" as Malaysia became a racist APARTHEID system under the NEP with mass transmigration of Indonesian and Filipino illegals into Sabah and Sarawak.

"Joint Security" was the main reason to form Malaysia. But Malayan UMNO failed most spectacularly to defend Sabah from foreign invasion in 2013.

In contrast Brunei and Singapore who are not in Malaysia have not been invaded like Sabah and they have prospered without the foreign control of Malayan.

So young Sabahans and Sarawakians- the choice is clear.

Stay in "Malaysia" to reap another 50 years of being colonised and ripped off our wealth and human development.

Or unite and take Sabah Sarawak out of Malaysia and use the next 50 years to develop our countries and ourselves with our resources as independent states like Brunei and Singapore.

If 2 tiny states can do it why can't two giants with the people and resources do better?

But. We can only be independent when we take back control of our countries from the hands of the Malayan rulers.

By voting against UMNO PBB BN Parties in Sabah and Sarawak is one big step to freeing ourselves from the Malayan colonial shackles.

Wake up from any delusions about "independence in Malaysia". It is a hell hole and the sooner we get out the better!

    TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!"
