Maznah, who is known by her nickname Chetz, is being investigated under the Penal Code for causing disharmony in relation to religion and the Sedition Act.
Maznah, 38, was taken to Segamat, more than two hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur, because that was the place where the first police report was lodged against her.
Maznah was arrested yesterday and placed in custody at Bukit Aman, the police headquarters in the nation’s capital after Umno-backed Malay daily Utusan Malaysia revealed that the video was on YouTube.
The 104-second clip recorded three years ago showed her washing her dog’s paw as part of her prayer ablutions while the Azan is heard.
