KOTA KINABALU - Progressive Institute of Public Policy Analysis Sabah (PiPPA) organized a forum entitled “The Future of Sabah’s Economy“ From the Perspective of Rights and Affordability,” at Ballroom Tang Dynasty Park Hotel.
Japiril Suhaimin who is also an Board Director of PiPPA apologized on behalf to the Organizing Chairman Hj. Amde Sidek who cannot attend the forum on other commitment that had to be done, but the enthusiasm and dedication of the organizing committee have managed to hold the forum, which was attended by more than 150 people from all over Sabah.
Japiril explain that in this forum have been discussing various interesting issues such as the current economic situation and Sabah`s legal authorities by three (3) specially invited distinguished panels namely Peter Marajin, a lawyer, Jalibin Paidi, an former educationist and activist from SSPR NGO and Dr. Jeremiah Yee, an economist, who will explain in term of legal and economic of Sabah.
Japiril added that the organizing committee is confident that the sharing in this forum will bring forward a new mindset especially towards the issues that benefit the people of Sabah. This forum is also provide oppurtunities for participants to ask question during the question and answers session or throught online interaction by phone or internet and for the information of all that this forum can also be on follow by 'live streaming'.
Japiril added, the tremendous presence of participants to the forum are very encouraging because for a very limited time, after the organizing of “Sabah Day” in Kundasang recently have proved that the people want to find answer to Political and Sabah Economic stability for Sabah and believes that this forum is the best platform for sharing ideas, by giving opinion and suggestions for the sake of our common future and added that we will gather again on September 16 in Keningau to commemorate the formation of Malaysia and the Keningau Oath Stone where the promise of formation of Malaysia is been stone for our future interest that will be orangise by the United Sabah Alliance (USA).
