A total of 141 reports in connection to 14th General Election – Ramli

State Police received a total of 141 reports in connection to 14th General Election.

Sabah Police Commisioner, Datuk Ramli Din said 56 investigation papers were opened involving 18 types of offence or investigation.

Ramli said the investigation involves the defamation such as burning, damaging and tearing posters, treachery acts, anti-fake news act and others.

“During the campaign period, we have detained a man at Papar on May 1 for disguising as Police Officer. This case was investigate under Section 171 of the Penal Code.

“While most cases investigated during the period are the treachery acts which involves 17 cases,” he said, adding that the situation is under control.
