Yee is more concerned about satellite TV than our PTI's problems

KOTA KINABALU, Dec 9, 2011: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai should resign like what Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat did when disagreeing with certain government policies.

Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Information Chief Chong Pit Fah, nonetheless, said the parabolic satellite dish issue (Left - Picture of a parabolic satellite dish at a house of one of the top BN leaders) had exposed Dr Yee as an irresponsible and incompetent minister.

"He is sleeping on the job. As the State's ICT minister, he cannot do anything but now petition?" he asked.

Chong said Dr Yee should sign a RCI petition and demand SAS White Paper to expose the real culprits, not protect his bosses.

"We are not against parabolic satellite dish but he should not be doing it just to protect his Barisan Nasional bosses.

"Dr Yee should fight for the people in many rural areas where there is no broadcast coverage.

"In certain developing countries in Asia, satellite TV offering more than 100 channels were only charging fees of as low as USD5 or RM16.

"But here Astro with just 30 channels cost more than RM100," he told reporters here Wednesday.

Chong claimed Dr Yee was only playing a shadow movie because the election is right around the corner.

"It also shows that he only realised about this only after eight years," he said.

Chong also called Dr Yee to apply similar "passion" to the call for the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry to resolve the illegal immigrant, citizenship and Project IC.

"Why don't he call for the petition on the RCI? Is he just playing wayang kulit," he asked.

    Anybody knows how many BN leaders also have parabolas at their home...it seems unfair that the customs go and catch ordinary people yet leaving these bosses the slip.

    The PATI issues and the Satellite TV issues are two separated categories. Why shouldn't Sabahans be given freedom of information? Does Sabahans not deserves to fight for our other rights as long as the illegal immigrants issue have not been settled?

    Sebenarnya saya menyokong kebebasan memasang Satelite ini. Kita ada hak untuk mendapat saluran yang lebih banyak daripada ada yang sedia ada.

    What is wrong if Datuk Yee is concerned over the issue on statelite ? this is in his portfolio , right ? By legalise will let many rural people abe to watch and see the world

    But Yee is a senior Minister in the cabinet for almost ten years. It goes to show how unproductive is him. Big salary, big cars, all the benefits but did not work, only talk show. He is wasting public fund and time.

    Deep down in Chong Pit Fah heart, he supports the use of parabolic satellite dish. I mean who doesn't want to have more than 100 channels with the price as low as RM16.

    Who doesn't support the use of parabolic disc, but the way it was being handled by the authorities against the ordinary people are not fair while the BN guys' homes are also having parabolic discs.

    why catch these ordinary people?

    The immigration director should look into why our neghbouring state Sarawak allows more than 80% of its residents to put up parabolic dish without being penalised. Are we not in Malaysia which is supposed to practise the one Malaysia slogan?

    kebanyakan mereka yang terlibat dengan gejala sosial seperti kes-kes rompakan, pembunuhan, pengedaran dadah dan pelbagai kes jenayah berat dilakukan oleh PATI dan telah memuncak sehingga ke tahap membimbangkan

    jika parabola diluluskan, semua penduduk yang tinggal dikawasan pedalaman akan dapat menikmati pelbagai siaran pada kadar yang murah.. mungkin pemimpin2 sapp juga akan tumpang manggunakan satelit ini jika diluluskan..

    Jika masalah parabola ini tidak selesai mungkin Yee akan disalahkan oleh rakyat, pembangkang dan pemimpin lain. Tapi mengenai PATI pula, semua ahli pemimpin bersama-sama menyelesaikannya dan bukan Yee saja.

    siaran parabola ni tidak bertapis. sedangkan Astro pun ada juga terselit yang sepatutnya tidak sesuai ditonton oleh umum. apapun, pandai2lah guna teknologi sekarang yang sudah tidak kenal had sempadan.

    Rakyat undi BN dulu mengharap mereka boleh menyelesaikan masalah Sabah TETAPI mereka suruh rakyat menyelesaikan masalah diri sendiri.

    Lagi baik undi SAPP dalam PRU13 sebab BN tidak boleh harap lagi semuanya hanya PAK TURUT kepada bos mereka dari malaya.

    SAPP banyak tolong rakyat dulu walaupun YTL hanya 2 tahun sebagai KM Sabah.

    Musang bin tidak aman lah yang paling BODOH punya KM dalam sejarah Sabah yang menyebabkan Sabah menjadi termiskin dalam malaysia.
