‘Don’t be greedy,’ Jeffrey tells Pakatan

Luke Rintod

KOTA KINABALU:    Newly-installed State Reform Party (Star)  Sabah chapter chairman Jeffrey Kitingan has warned Pakatan Rakyat today ‘not to be greedy’ and to focus on their challenges in the peninsular.

He also said  that it would not be of any good to Sabah if  peninsular-based parties are allowed to “dominate and control” Sabah like what Umno is doing.

“Enough is enough. We cannot depend on outsiders to lead us. Let Pakatan Rakyat parties concentrate in Peninsular. They control already four states, why must control Sabah and Sarawak too? Don’t be too greedy.

“If they (PR parties), like Umno also want to dominate and control over us, then there is not much difference between them and Umno or Barisan Nasional.

“A takeover by any Malayan-based party will result in us in the same situation under Umno. You can take from me,” said the maverick Kitingan who was once jailed for speaking up for Sabah rights during former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s rule.

He was speaking at the launching of the Sabah chapter of the Sarawak-based party at the Hongkod Koisaan hall near hear Friday.

Kitingan, who was a a vice-president of PKR before this, said the time had come for Sabah-based political parties to take charge and responsibility again in the state matters.

During his 50 minutes speech, Kitingan explained the conditions of Sabah and Sarawak in at the onset of Malaysia formation in 1963 and the dashed hope of the people in both the successive governments as well as the current and previous leaders of the two large states.

The Harvard scholar also explained why he finally chose Star instead of other state parties as his vehicle.

  2. How confidence to oust BN and UMNO for parties under JK or JK himself?

If JK can grant in writen pledge a surety to win over the states from BN for the coming PRU definitely PR state based parties can negotiate withdraw!

Fcuk if you just take us round the bush without even faith to convince your brother, his parties and other like LDP,PBRS,UPKO under BN to change(must condition). If you be a spoiler to safeguard Sabah's right this round please go fly off from our sight!

Do not just try to be grade one yet making sabahan in disgrace because of you.

  4. Can we really trust you, JK this time around to fight for Sabahans' rights and the Borneo agenda? It seems that you are also fighting for your own interest to eventually become the leader of the 'pack', if not you will leave or sale out to other parties such behavior will lead to the deterioration of the fight and Sabahans will become a laughing stock.

I admire your spirit to fight for Sabahans' rights and Borneo agenda which you have been advocating but how can we,Sabahans be assured that you will not leave the "pack" if you are not chosen to lead. Can you announce that you will fight to the end for Sabahans under the same platform even though you are not the leader of the party or to lead the next government??

For Sabah to progress economically and prosperous, we can not depend on parties from Malaya (PKR or UMNO) as their main intention is only to colonize our natural resources and to 'divide and rule' such Malaya politic can not be applied to multiracial and multicultural Sabah. Sabahans are different people from Malaya in term of tradition and culture. Malaya parties should concentrate their fight against the BN in Malaya while local party is to fight the UMNO/Bn in Sabah in coming GE13.

  5. Agree with Spring.
One thing JK is weak is that he is not wise and always overconfident!
Your idea is always excelene but, your advisers are always making fool of you.

Sabah need badly to topple the BNUMNO and lone ranger will not get anything but will lose without anything.

JK must remember that Sabah today is not like Sabah 20 years ago, when there is not so many PATI voters.

Nowadays, Sabah is full of PATI as FIX DEPOSIT voters to BNUMNO. Thats why, BNUMNO leaders are just relax and not worry abaout JKs newly formed party.

Be humble n be wiselah JK. We Sabahans really want to see you learn from your previous mistake.
Don't waste your time. You will not even win a single seat if you are so arrogant.

We are fighting with a very2 cunning and wise party BNUMNO.

    Be humble n wise man!

  6. Setuju dgn mengaus
Bagaimana SAPPdan STAR boleh tumbangkan BNUMNO?

Bukankah, pengundi PATI di Sabah adalah 1.7juta orang?

So hanya kerjasama sahaja yg boleh mengurangkan sedikit majority BNUMNO.

    Ingat, bersatu teguh, bercerai roboh!

Memang sokong STAR kalau kerjasama dgn Barisan pembangkang tapi kalau tamak dgn SAPP saja, sorrylah, PATI ramaiiii!

Terlalu ramai untuk kamu kalahkan! Perayalah, jangan banyak cakap lagi selagi orang sokong kamu lebih baik dgar nasihat rakyat. Bukan dgar cakap asistan2 JK yg hanya mahu duit itu. Lepas pilihan raya kalah semua lari /rakyat Sabah terkapai2 macam ayam mati.

    Fikir2kanlah.

  7. Jk stop the nonsense. U are doin a deservice to Sabahan with your stupid star party by splitting votes. Are u paid by BN? If u really sincere, Set personal interest aside, Work with established opposition parties. Stop the territorial mentality "Sabah party for Sabah only". We are going against a big and ugly beast called BN. Our only option is one on one against BN. Haven't we learn from batu Sapi by election? Two oppositions against BN? Even with combined votes, oppositions still garnered lesser votes. What makes u think your star party can become vote pulling party in no time?

  8. Jk is a party hopper!! Can't get along or work with fellow party heads!!! He only want to be top leader in a party!!! He expect red carpet welcome to any party he joined!!! Lack commitment n integrity !!! An opportunist place personal interest before party!!! Why only come out talk talk talk when election in looming?? Stop acting like a politician that care about the interest of Sabahan. Get lost with your star party if u not willing to work with other big opposition like PR. u are even worst than sapp. Failure is not an option, work with PR as single ticket to face 1 on 1 with monster BN.

One thing I salute JK is for his HERO minde for the Orang Asal's rights.

But alas! His great weakness is he always wants to get at the top of the world very fast. Better JK just cconcerntrate on UBF NGO bah.

So if you still wants to achieved the beatiful agenda of the OAs rights, the most honourable step to do is, just cooperate to the Barisan Pembangkanglah!

We Sabahans apa lagi yang beragama, forgiveness and not Dendam, Love n not Hatred. We understand how hurt you are with PKR but, as a Christian devotees, you should be wise and using love and forgive approah not keep on ondemning the PKR.

Remember our main goal is to topple the BNUMNO.
Pandailah buat perjanjian "Black n White" bah dgn barisan pembangkang tentang POWER SHARING,

EH TAKKAN LAH LULUSAN HAVARD MACAM JK TIDAK NAMPAK INI!

BUKAN TIDAK BOLEH PERCAYA BAH TAPI MACAM TIDAK BIJAK, BERANILAH TAPI KALAU SETAKAT BERANI SAJA, SEORANG LAWAN YG RAMAI MACAM KAMBING LAWAN RIMAUBAH! MANA JUGA BOLEH LAWAN!

SO THE BEST APPROACH IS TO COOPERATE, WE oaS TETAP SAYANGKAN jk TAPI MESTI BELAJAR BERBAIK2 DAN MELUPAKAN SENGKETA.

SAPP MACAM MAHU KERJASAMA SUDAH SAMA PR ITU JADI APA LAGI!

LAINLAH KALAU MACAM DULU2 YANG BELUM ADA INI PATI!

CUBA RENUNGKAN TOMPINAI JK? SIOU KIO BUT WE HAVE TO BE VERY SCEPTICAL AND WISE SINCE ISU PATI DI SABAH INI MACAM NASI SUDAH JADI BUBUR BAH. TIADA PELUANG MACAM DULU2.

SO BERTINDAK IKUT SITUASI BUKAN IKUT HATI DAN RASA.

WE CANT AFFORD TO WASTE EVEN ONE DAY TO BNUMNO TO GOVERN US ANYMORE! PLEASE!

Tolonglah bersatupadu demi rakyat Sabah.

  16. BN sudah bersatu, pembangkang pula maseh mengurat sesama mereka.Siapa yang laku?

Ada mengatakan STAR akan bertanding satu kerusi saja iaitu JK kerana 'Don't be greedy.'

    ReplyDelete
  17. 'Don't be greedy.'Cakap tidak serupa bikin.

    CAKAP TIDAK SERUPA BIKIN.Harvard Lol!

  18. Pakatan should focus on the West Malaysia and leave Sabah and Sarawak to our own local leaders.

  19. If PR continues to bicker amongst themselves, then there is no chance for them to ever achieve anything.

  20. sounds like somone wants the whole sandbox for themselves....

  21. It is good to have the confidence, but just don't be too confident. It might not turn out as you have planned JK.

  22. No consensus, no success. Easy way for BN to win again if everyone wants to be hero in the oppositions.

    ReplyDelete

  24. semoga perjuangan Jeffrey kali beroleh kejayaan besar.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ceh! Kalau setakat Star sama SAPP saja yg mau lawan ini BNUMNO Gurangak, mahap2 dorang boleh kalah.

Kita semua tahu pulasisik ini BNUMNO yg mana pengundinya maam wang simpanan di bank, FIX DEPOSIT bah! PAAATIII! Terlalu ramai. Lagipun JPN/SPR semuanya alat mereka!

STAR sama SAPP masih berdegil? Bah kamu goaheadlah!

PR belum tentu sokong Borneo Agenda 100%. Lagipun PR Sabah terpaksa kowtow kepada KL/Putrajaya sekiranya menang PRU-13 nanti.

Masalah Sabah kalau tiada kuasa autonomi, memang sukar untuk jadi lebih maju setanding KL as equal partner.

Fikirlah baik2 sebelum kamu menyesal lagi...Sabah-based party first...KL-based party last!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  34. Saya sokong kata-kata JK untuk PR. Jangan mimpi untuk menguasai Sabah.
