UMNO Leaders won’t bother Sabah being called poor

SIPITANG: If there is no deterrent to BN government, Sabah would likely to remain a poor state in Malaysia. In as far as UMNO leaders are concerned they aren’t perturbed by such title. That is why SAPP dare enough to challenge by filing a lawsuit on Borneonisation issue.

Two days ago High Court of Kota Kinabalu dismissed the application made by Federal Government and State Government to strike the suit. That is good enough for SAPP, said Hj Amde Sidik, Deputy President of SAPP.

Sabah has never been called a poor state not until it was taken over by the BN Government.

“This was a report by World Bank and it wasn’t made out by SAPP,” Amde said, who is also the Chairman for SAPP (CLC) Constituency Liaison Committee for N 28 Sindumin when talking to his audience at a meeting with Kg Melalia community group, about 5 km from Sipitang town last night 26/05/2012.

Everyone knows Sabah is Malaysia’s main producer of oil palm, yet, comes Hari Raya there isn’t enough cooking oil around, where is the logic? Other items are flour and sugar that had made headlines in the past of their shortages at crucial times like festive seasons.

Sabah also produces oil and gas many people don’t understand why it has to be piped to Bintulu. Have the costs and benefits to pipe or to install a refinery in Sabah been made public?  This isn’t participatory government at all; even to provide labourers for Sabah plantations has to be decided at their headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

Attended at the function were, SAPP Sindumin CLC Deputy Chairman- Kamis Daming, Treasurer Sarudin Maidin and a few committee members.

    2. MALAYSIA = BORNEONIZATION = 0% PLUS MALAYANIZATION = 100%

Many beautiful promises were made by the British/Malayan governments in the 1960s to entice the people into believing that if they supported the creation of neo-colonial Malaysia they would be getting political socio-economic progress.

One of the grave fears of many ordinary people about “Malaysia” was that Malayans would come over and take employment opportunities from locals.

That was one reason why Sabah and Sarawak reserved their right to control migration from Malaya.

To calm down people’s fear of this happening, Tunku A Rahman himself put it in writing declaring that Malaya would never colonize Sabah and Sarawak. These were his words!

After 48 years we have all woken up that it was just an empty promise. In fact this was one of the first broken beautiful promises.

While the new colonial masters kept us hoping and waiting for promotions, all important positions in the government administration and other areas of public service were given to Malayans.

These 2 Sabah gentlemen are heroes to take on the colonial government.

But they are part of the trend in Sabah and Sarawak where people not longer fear to speak out for their rights. In this case “state” rights agreed to under the Malaysia and 18/20 Points Agreements for Sabah and Sarawak.

The teacher seems to have a better case than the inspector although both have the sympathies and support of everyone who oppose the colonization of our 2 countries- Sabah and Sarawak.

Both cases highlights how Malayanization of the civil service and police has affected local job opportunities.

      Malayanization means re-colonization by Malaya.

    1. You must have heard or read Mahathir’s uncensored speech on the news on 21 February 1991. I only just came to know about it. It came as no surprise that Mahathir regards Sabah as his Colony. He has brought UMNO personally to Sabah to ensure complete control of the people of Sabah. He shows no respect for our elected leaders. He wants to appoint his own leaders and dictate terms to them. He thinks that Sabah is his domain and he can do anything as he likes with it. He thinks no one can stop him or the Kuala Lumpur leaders – they even threaten us with the armed forces, the police and the ACA. Kuala Lumpur’s true intention is finally openly known. Mahathir’s move to erode the 20 Points, which is the basis of Sabah agreeing to become one of the partners to the Federation of Malaysia, was a deliberate plan to reduce our status to that of a Colony of Malaya. 2. Mahathir's intention was already know a while back but the fox that he is, managed to cunningly outsmart and hoodwink everyone. Eventually the fox gets older and will not be able to run and hide forever. I believe that time is near. Lets go hunting!
