A proposal by a group of Malay-Muslim NGOs to set up a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) on the ‘Red Bean Army’ cybertrooper group will be brought to the cabinet this Friday, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Shahidan Kassim said today.
Shahidan told a press conference at the Parliament house today that the NGOs had alleged that the opposition is funding the ‘Red Bean Army’.
“They are alleging that the Red Bean Army receives huge funding. We are open to all suggestions, so we will bring this to the cabinet,” said the former Perlis Mentri Besar after receiving a memorandum from the NGOs, which comprise of 130 Malay-Muslim NGOs.
