Pairin in denial mode, says Majimbun
KOTA KINABALU: The statement try KDCA President Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan that there is no so-called “new Bumiputera" who are getting native status in Sabah is very disturbing, said Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Deputy President Datuk Eric Majimbun.
"It is a very disturbing statement by the KDCA paramount leader without taking concern of what is happening around Sabah, Particularly on the issuance of Sabah, particularly on the issuance of native titles to foreigners just because they have dubious MyKad under the native interpretation ordinance.
“In every corner of Sabah, this is happening every day. There is no point in having KDCA if the status of anak negeri (son of the soil) is not safeguarded,” he said in a statement, Sunday.
Majimbun also reminded Pairin an example in the book written by MD Mutalib where a foreigner has become a teacher in Tawau and is earning about RM5,000 per month.
He said Pairin was in a denial mode, perhaps in order to cover up for the failure of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to proceed with the establishment of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate illegal immigrant issue, and issuance citizenship to foreigners.
A Sabah parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leader, Dr Chong Eng Leong, meanwhile, pointed out that the KDM community was the majority group of Bumiputera in Sabah before the formation of Malaysia that is 54 per cent. He said the KDM population increased by 201 per cent from 1970 to 2010 but the increase in other groups were extraordinary, resulting in the KDM community being only 34 per cent of the total Bumiputera in Sabah in 2010.
"Can Pairin please explain to Sabahans who are these new Bumiputra in Sabah in 2010?" he asked.
TRAITOR!
ReplyDeleteits for the MONEY....!!! he's a real traitor...
ReplyDeletei'm leaving PBS!!!
I bet the other politicians who claimed to struggle for Sabah also have their own agenda and it will definitely include to enrich themselves.
DeleteInstead of supporting who only knows how to talk, support who is able to fulfill his promises.
Deleteforget and ignore his own race. demi kedudukan, gadai apa saja yang boleh !! oh duit !
ReplyDeleteKenyataan Pairin membimbangkan SAPPI.
ReplyDeleteala....... si pairin perempuan simpanan dia pilak.. memang dia sokong ni bangsa jadi bumiputera baru.. huguan siou bikin malu kdm saja... ni la kdm yg kamu sanjung... muka dia ni ngam utk pakai lap pantat lepas berak saja... bangsat..
ReplyDeleteThe old Pairin fought for sabahan but the current Pairin is very contended with his own power n money. He rather close one eye n enjoy his final moments of his political career. He is an expired leader don't let him overstay his welcome. Change him vote for PR!!!!!
DeleteWhy must we vote for PR? Why not other opposition parties??
DeleteLocal parties better than PR.
DeleteI guess the party that can bright and more well being to Sabah indeed the best, background of the party is not the major concern.
DeletePairin is no longer relevant and his days are over. Time to 'makan-makan' is well over.. Retire or be retired OLD MAN...
ReplyDeleteRelevant or not, we'll see in the 13th GE.
Deletetubuhkan saja RCI..
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for the govt to prepare the term of reference.
ReplyDeleteBN still can win in next GE.
ReplyDeleteTan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan said the term "new Bumiputera" for people from outside the country is inaccurate because foreigners cannot become Bumiputera. There are no legal term or clause that recognized the term "new Bumiputera".
ReplyDeleteResponding to an earlier question from a participant who asked if there is any guarantee that "new Bumiputeras" would not get native status in Sabah, Pairin said it was not necessary for anybody to give the guarantee because it is already in the law. This shows that there is a clear line that can differentiate BUMIs as well as non-BUMIs as stated within the Law.
DeleteThere are no basis towards the claims made by Majimbun with regards to Pairin in the RCI matter. Bear in mind that Pairin is one of the KDM leaders that is vocal to voice out the matter of RCI in the past few months.
ReplyDeleteHow can Majimbun said that RCI is a failure when it is still not establish yet? The NAjib administration did not deny the establishment of thid RCI.
DeleteAt present, the RCI is in its last stage whereby the finalization of the term of refence is currently being reviewed by the Najib Administration. Matters as sentitive such as this requires time so that all details can be looked into and no loose end left untied.
