We come to you today to inform you that our application to hold Bersih 2.0 Sabah Rally on 9th July 2011 at the Padang Bandaran Kota Kinabalu from 2pm – 4pm has been rejected by the Sabah Commissioner of Police.
This has not come as a surprised but has encouraged our MCLM Adhoc Committee to move to Plan B, which is to re-apply for another police permit, but this time to have the rally in a closed venue.
We now take the heed of the statement of PM Najib on July 4th that the government was willing to allow the Bersih rally in Kuala Lumpur to proceed if it was held in a stadium. And so we in Sabah will bring our rally indoor.
To date, our movement has gained much headway and has already achieved the 500-attendance target today on our official FaceBook event page. If Bersih 2.0 Sabah allowed in an indoor venue then we are expecting to triple the crowd.
We have already considered a few indoor venues such as Kian Kok Hall, KDCA & Foo Chow Hall to have the rally respectively.
In a turn of tide of event, we will slightly change the program to include a P.A and multimedia systems, which now can be used, to achieve our goals. Among the program that we will have is ‘Open Mic Session’ where members of NGOs, Youth Movements, Associations and Political Parties can come on stage to give a 2minute sharing on Bersih 2.0 and Civil Rights.
Other highlights of the Rally will include singing, dancing and performances from local talents. At the moment we cannot confirm whether we have t-shirts, balloons and headbands for everyone who attends because there were some items seized in the Kuala Lumpur office last week.

ReplyDeleteSometimes the political leaders or generally those who lead must be wise to question your CM and police assisting by legal expert!SLA has been very quiet and what's fuss of telling the world we produce many sabahan lawyers too?
Atama also with 'A' must remember Najib stressed that 'safety and incase there are outbreak of irresponsible or damage to public'you too must be responsible for it.Be wise to get help from other in safety and order within the venue.
Outside the venue and beyond just emphasize or throw back the ball to police alright!

tak usahlah terikut2 dengan perhimpunan Bersih di Semenanjung. jangan pula mau membuat perhimpunan di stadium Likas juga ni nanti.

ReplyDeleteLawak betullah baca komen pencacai najis kerajaan umno/bn ni... macam cakap dalam tidur pun ada. macam merapu pun ada. jgn2, kalu dgr dorg cakap berdepan, mulut bau tahi kali.... undang2 pencegahan mana yg kerajaan, kdn dan anjing berbaju hitam ni pakai.... nampak sangat takut kuasa memerentah mereka jatuh... nampak sangat takut jawatan hilang. nampak sangat takut dgn pembangkang. padahal yg menganjur perhimpunan adalah ngo2. kenapa? kalau jawatan hilang takut tak dapat bayar balik loan di bank yg berjuta-juta atau takut harta yg diperolehi secara songsang dan haram dirampas atau juga takut masuk lokap yg sebelum ini banyak dihuni oleh pemimpin parti pembangkang. sendiri taru undang2 tapi masa pakai tak guna otak. putar sana-sini. tuduh sana sini. paling teruk tuduh perhimpunan bersih ada kaitan dgn usaha menghidupkn semula idealsma komunis. iklan tv pun nampak sangat berat sebelah. kutuk sana sini. mana suda itu kebebasan media? tak sabar nak tengok apa jadi masa pilihan raya yg akan datang. paling utama ialah media pencacai najis utama iaitu TV3.

ReplyDeletePenyokong Bersih mungkin sudah pengsan dalam lokap dan ada akan di dakwa di bawah Emergency Ordinan. Atama nak melompat atas pentas nyanyi lagu rock dan penyokong nya menari disko.Rally apa? Kalau buat kat KL begini entah apa akan terjadi.Mungkin pentas pun kena kapak dan gergaji.
