Pathetic hanging of banner by DBKK
"The authorities, particularly DBKK, which supposedly organised the official government memorial service for the Double Six victims at the Tugu Peringatan at Sembulan yesterday, must show more solemness in their organisation.
Looking at the pathetic way that the banner was hung at the junction to the Sembula memorial was like a public display of disrespect and dishonour to the memory of the Double Six tragedy and its victims.
The victims and memory of the Double Six tragedy in which our top leaders perished deserve better from the government.
We call on the authorities to be more sensitive and more respectful in the future", said Edward who led a delegation of 50 youths to the memorial service held by SAPP on the day.
By Edward Dagul, Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Youth Chief.

Apa DBKK tahu, ikut saja arahan bikin poster saja!
ReplyDeletekau pigi la cakap begitu sama pegawai2 DBKK..
DeleteTurst SAPP to make a big deal out of a banner.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me the banner has fallen down, not hung that way.
ReplyDeleteAt least the city hall is still taking the time and effort to commemorate the event as well as the fallen leader in the Double Six tragedy. Now even this matter is being bought to the lime light?
ReplyDeleteJust because the banner indicated that this event is organized by DBKK doesn't mean that the blame for this 'poor banner hanging' or what ever you want to call it rest solely on their shoulder.
There are lot of factors that may have contribute to this: among them as another ANON pointed out is the company that is tasked to do this banner hanging - they should have take actions and rectify the matter.
Another contributing factor is due to the strong winds and downpour that Sabah is experiencing this recent week.
Bottom line is this: The State government, especially DBKK has painstakingly made every effort to commemorate our fallen leaders. That should have been the center piece and NOT the conditions of this banner.
