KOTA KINABALU - DAP’s replicas of Oath Stone have caused disharmony among the people, said Aloysius Danim Siap, SAPP’s Vice President.
The assault case in Kg Mempulut, Sook has been in the headlines of local newspapers over the last week is an example of such disharmony.
“Before this, we never hear of such ruckus from the peace loving people of Sook.
“I feel DAP’s efforts are insulting the Momogun’s cultures and beliefs. When the original Keningau Oath Stone was erected, it was a solemn and sacred ceremony which was conducted by high priestesses or bobolians. It was done in a sombre and respectful manner and definitely not red ribbons affairs.
“We do not want our (Adat) custom to be tainted with cheap political gimmicks. Why do we need Malayan leaders to officiate a Momogun ceremony?” Aloysius questioned.
