Opposition in Sarawak a big mess

KUCHING - The opposition allies who failed to resolve endless infighting and tussles among themselves can never be a capable party to represent the people and to lead Sarawak.

Barisan Nasional Satok incumbent Datuk Abang Johari Openg said the opposition was in a big mess and heading their separate ways without cooperation and mutual understanding.

“Look at them. They are in such a big mess. They are still fighting even on the nomination day.

So, can our people put their hopes and expectations on these parties? Are we going to allow them to lead Sarawak? I do not think so,” he said.

Speaking to the reporters after filing his nomination to defend the Satok state seat at SK Merpati Jerpang here, Johari said the opposition was only interested in grabbing more seats and was not committed in serving the people.

“They (opposition) are only capable of pulling people to become their candidates for the sake of filling up the seats.

It makes them sound very strong when they said they are contesting 30 seats or 40 seats,” he added.

Satok state seat will witness a straight fight between BN's Datuk Abang Johari Openg and PKR’s Mohamed Salleh Shawkatali.
