GE13: SAPP, A Serious Long Term Local Party

COMMENT

SAPP is a serious party with a long term vision.  Since its inception in 1994, SAPP has slowly but surely build a system within its operation to prepare leaders of tomorrow.  SAPP came into existence with the vision of the future.  Leaders may come and go, but the party stays as long as there is a system in place to engage our young to get involve in public service.  By providing students with opportunities to experience leadership skills and public service SAPP is opening opportunities to the younger generation to assume future leadership roles.

SAPP Graduan Kem Belia was set up since 1996 and has attracted more young people from as early as 15 years old to be groomed to become the next generation of SAPP leaders.  A few had successfully gone up their political ladder and some now are the party youth’s leaders and supreme councillors.  SAPP candidates and leaders today that were products of such a program are Stephan Gaimin, Jae-ly Medong, Jamain Sarudin and Ho Shau Vui.

Stephan Gaimin is the candidate for N9 Tamparuli.  He hails from Kampung Lapai, Tenghilan.  He started his exposure in politics at the age of 20 when he first joined SAPP Youth Camp.  Soon after, he went for further studies at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) where he graduated with a BA degree.  Because of his experience at the SAPP Youth Camp his interest in public service and politics blossom and he join SAPP as a member and became an active participant in the daily affairs of the party.  Today, Stephen hopes to garner enough support to win the Tamparuli State seat.

Jae-ly Medong is the candidate for N1 Banggi.  He hails from Kg. Sinukab, Banggi.  He is a graduate of Irish International University with an MBA.  He has been a member of SAPP since 1994.  He is married with three children and has been self employed while pursuing his political struggle with SAPP.

Jamain Sarudin is also a member since 1994.  He hails from Beaufort and he is the candidate for N27 Lumadan.  He has work tirelessly to achieve the struggles of SAPP.  He has four children and is self-employed.

Finally, Ho Shau Vui, the youngest SAPP candidate for N58 Merotai.  He is a 2nd generation SAPP member as his father was the CLC Chairman for Merotai.  These are young men who had risen through the ranks to become SAPP candidates.

SAPP vision of the future is based on a long-term plan to groom and prepare young men who show promise to become leaders in public service.  SAPP is a party that is here to stay and will continue the fight for good governance in Sabah.

I am a truly local Sabahan.
