Cops hunting 2 for rape, death threats on Noor Farida

PETALING JAYA - Police are tracking down two men who issued rape and death threats against G25 spokesperson Noor Farida Ariffin.

According to a Star Online report, Wangsa Maju police are hunting down Facebook user Al Mujahid Arman, who posted “halal darahnya untuk dibunuh” (her blood is permissible to be killed).

Noor Farida lodged a police report over the posting.

Al Mujahid’s profile photograph on Facebook shows a man holding a Kalashnikov weapon with the Islamic State logo in the background.

In Ipoh, police are working with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to track down another Facebook user, Sharul Nizam Ab Rahim, who threatened to rape Noor Farida.

“We are searching for his whereabouts. We are also recording statements and collecting information from witnesses.

“So far, three police reports were lodged over the incident two weeks ago,” said state CID chief SAC Goh Kok Liang.

This comes in the midst of Noor Farida being probed herself under the Sedition Act for calling for a review on khalwat (close proximity) raids on Muslim couples.
