Gerakan wants action on Ghapur

KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan President Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon said it wants action taken on Kalabakan Member of Parliament Datuk Abdul Ghapur Salleh for alleging in Parliament that the party paid money to get people to attend the opening of its branch in Tawau last week.

Koh, who is also a Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, said the allegation was an insult to those who attended the event.

"It's not proper to raise this in the Dewan during the budget debate. Party issues should not be brought into the debate; our representatives have demanded that he be taken action," he said.

Koh noted that several Sabah Umno leaders, including Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Salleh Tun Said, had issued statements saying it was Abdul Ghapur's personal statement and neither representing the views of Sabah Umno or the state Barisan Nasional. Ghapur had urged the Prime Minister not to field Gerakan candidates to contest in Sabah in the 13th General Election, claiming that "the voters in Sabah, especially the Chinese, despise the party and do not welcome it in the State".

"Gerakan is not a winnable political party at all. It is a liability to BN as a whole. All the YBs from Sabah now in Gerakan are 'frogs' who are there so that they can keep their Cabinet positions," he had said.

He also alleged that Bumiputera supporters from Kalabakan were paid RM300 to attend the opening of the party's Tawau office.

Meanwhile, Sabah Barisan Nasional would seek clarification from the Gerakan leadership on allegations of encroachment by Sabah Gerakan into other BN compenent parties domains in the State.

Its Secretary, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, said he would be meeting with Koh to get his feedback.
Concurring with Musa that Ghapur's remarks were his personal view, he said: "I am sure the public is fully aware that the three assemblymen who joined Gerakan made their decisions under very unique and extraordinary circumstances.

Two of them joined Gerakan because their previous party had pulled out from BN while the third joined Gerakan when his party had publicly declared non-cooperation with the Chief Minister," he said. Most important, he said, was that the three assemblymen were staunch BN supporters.

Minister of Youth and Sports cum KaramuntingAssemblyman, Detuk Peter Pang En Yin quit the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) after his former party stated it is unable to work and cooperate with Musa.

Minister of Industrial Development cum Tanjong Papat Assemblyman Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah and Elopura Assemblyman, Au Kam Wah left Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) after the party quit the Barisan Nasional.

  1. Ghafur should ask BN to take disciplinary action against Koh for asking UMNO to take disciplinary action against him for telling the truth.

There is a saying,'The truth hurts but its still the truth. No one should deny the truth and if he did he is called the untruth thus is unworthy and untrustworthy to be a leader.'

Do not try to straighten something that is crooked because even if you succeed in doing so,there will still be a mark where people can see.

  9. I doubt if there's any action taken on Ghapur. biasanya cukup sekadar nasihat dari pucuk pimpinan..

Dua2 asal PTI.

  24. "Gerakan wants action on Ghapur"

No use to complaint. For sure there will be no action taken on him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Is Ghaphur been too harsh or Gerakan couldn't accept the truth?? Huhu..

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  31. Stop all sort of "personal attack" against others. It's meanless and no productive at all. He should know whom he representing and be caution with the word he mentioned.

    ReplyDelete

  34. Lajim even concurred what Ghapur has said. Hmm.

  35. Indeed Elesha, we are approaching a full demoracy country and freedom to give comment and speech. We have to control ourself by not misuse of the freedom given. Words that is harmful may need to control.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  41. Setuju Shahzuan. Kalaupun statementnya tu betul macam mana orang nak percaya kalau takda bukti kan...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Inilah padahnya kalau bercakap ikut sedap rasa saja.. Tengok timbul dah hal lain. huhu..

    ReplyDelete
  43. Namun sebolehnya kalau sebumbung tu, janganlah terlalu cepat memanas... Sabarlah, selesaikan segala sengketa dengan aman.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mungkin Ghapur mahu tarik perhatian ramai sebab itulah dia buat begitu. hehhee

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think Gerakan should do smth about it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Patut dipertimbangkan.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Apa yg patut dipertimbangkan pula? I will not forget and forgive this devilman of his big liar in helping the Bugis (Hundreds of thousand) to become Malaysian citizen. Now he is trying to bea hero just to cover his wrongdoings in Sabah. While the Gerakan should refrain and avoid from coming to Sabah. You are not belonged here. Sapp is better but must stop quarelling with DAP Hahaha... Otherwise you all will be worth the three stoogers.HUhu.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hai, sayapun marah sama Pairin sebab diapun tamaha jugatu. Tdak pandai kasi maju org2 KDM. Yg dia tahu hanya kasi kaya diri dan keluarganya sahaja. Jadi apa bezanya? 40 tahun sdh jadi menteri termasuk pernah jadi KM tapi apa ada? Isu IC projek tdk selesai2.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Say no to BN! Yes to Opps. parties but only those who deserved it. Yg asyik bertengkar jangan undi.
