KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) is sceptical with Sabah Umno's support to the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate the issuance of MyKad to foreigners through dubious means.
Vice President Jaafar Haji Ismail said Sabah Umno was only making its stand due to pressure after all the other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties and opposition parties have made their stand on the issue.
Furthermore, he said Sabah Umno Information Chief, Datuk Sapawi Ahmad came out with a vague statement saying that it was up to the Federal to decide.
"There was no commitment or a clear indication that Sabah Umno really wants the RCI to be set up. If Umno is really concerned and as the backbone of Sabah BN it should have been the first to call for the RCI.
"Sabah Umno representatives should have raised the issue at the party's recent general assembly but none did so," he said in a statement here Sunday.
On the proposal by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Penampang chief, Darell Leiking for the State Assembly to convene and discuss to call for the setting up of the RCI, he said SAPP had tried to move a motion to this effect in the last sitting but was rejected by the Speaker saying it was under the Federal jurisdiction.
Jaafar (right) claimed the Federal Government was reluctant to establish the RCI because many Umno leaders and government agencies were involved in the 'Project IC' as published in books such as by MD Mutalib, which had never been challenged by anybody.
It is expected that the BN would include the RCI as among its election manifesto in order to quell the claims for the loss of rights and sovereignty of the state, he said.
The BN government can called for the RCI quickly like in Teo Beng Hock's case and the lawyer Lingam, both concerning individual but it cannot call for an RCI to investigate issues that involve the rights and sovereignty of the people of Sabah, he said.
"I think it is time that the people of Sabah evaluate the sincerity of the Sabah BN government in resolving this issue. If the Federal government did not establish the RCI before the 13th General Election then it is clear that something is being concealed by the BN government," he said.
I have seen dirty politics before but to be confronted by childish politics is rare. This goon from SAPP is just showing how naivity, ignorance, recalcitrance and foolhardiness in a person can blur his sights and visions on issues that are designed by the opposition to gain support for their election bids in GE13.
ReplyDeleteThe opposition it seems are manufacturing lies and innuendos in order to influence the mindsets of people into believing the contrary. In other words they will keep on giving and feeding the people with negative ads on what actually said and meant in all sincerety by the government into innuendos and insinuations that the actual intentions are much different and not what it was meant to be.
Such slur only goes to show how low a party or a person can be in the pursuit of his hallucination for power.Such dreamers can end in dangerous world of his own and trapped in his own quagmire of deceits where failure is not an option. To them,'The end justifies the means.'and will stop at nothing to see that every leaders in government are being brushed with the mud they produce and ensure that if they go down the country and its people should go down with them.
Anak Petagas, you are trying to justify what is not justified..trying to make the wrong to be right...Just be honest to yourself and to others, you are neither doing that..It is not about your personal cari makan, just think of the many real Sabahans ...discontented with all these.
ReplyDeleteDon't sell your souls to the devils, when you are sold, you cannot buy back unless....Wtf
ASALKAN BUKAN UMNO!
ReplyDeleteWhat's most important is that Umno is now supporting RCI. The Federal government must make their decision about this.
ReplyDeleteThe force is stronger than ever with the support from everyone within the state to urged for the establishment of RCI.
ReplyDeleteConclusion, majority support for RCI. Now depends with the federal cabinet to give the final decision.
ReplyDeleteIt is common if other party especially the oppositions doubt the BN/UMNO's sincerity.
ReplyDeleteUMNO is rotten to the core. UMNO Sabah supporting RCI but not demanding or pressure the UMNO pusat to setup RCI.
ReplyDeleteOnly traitor like Anak Petagas will continue to sell Sabah to dog to make Sabah as a dumping ground for Illegal Immigrants from neighboring country.
bila UMNO berikan pendirian menyokong RCI, masih lagi pula ada yang tidak berpuas hati.
ReplyDeletekalau begitu, kita tunggu sajalah keputusan PSC.
ReplyDeleteUmno sudah menyatakan pendirian mereka untuk menyokong RCI, jadi ianya tidak perlulah dijadikan isu lain pula.
ReplyDeleterata-ratanya menyokong RCI ditubuhkan. jadi ianya wajar ditubuhkan.
ReplyDeletesudah sekian lama maslaah PATI tapi SAPP tiada bising2 pasal RCI. Upko bising2 pasal RCI, baru la SAPP bising2 juga. Meniru saja ni.
ReplyDeleteandai RCI benar2 diluluskan dan dilaksanakan, apa cerita SAPP akan bangkitkan.
